Muslim Charity commemorates Humanitarian Heroes on World Humanitarian Day

Today on World Humanitarian Day, Muslim Charity honours the heroic aid workers who rush bravely to help people in need. The World Humanitarian Day gives special recognition to all humanitarian workers and other personnel who have worked in the promotion of the humanitarian cause, and commemorates those of them who have lost their lives in the course of duty.

On this occasion Muslim Charity pays tribute to its staff, volunteers and partners around the world and particularly those in Gaza, Palestine, who have been working round the clock and risking their lives on a daily basis to meet the needs of displaced and injured people during the on-going violence.

Commenting on the occasion, Muslim Charity’s Director of Programmes and Policy mentioned, “Our partners in Gaza are our Humanitarian Heroes who have placed themselves in no small measure of peril to serve the most vulnerable, the most impoverished and the most crisis affected people in Gaza.” He also thanked the thousands of donors for their donations and volunteers who work relentlessly for the humanitarian cause.
