Funds raised by participants will supports Muslim Charity’s Children of the World campaign, which is making a life-changing difference for vulnerable children across Pakistan. The project focuses on rescuing street children, giving them a safe place to stay, access to education, and essential healthcare.
Street children in Pakistan are often exposed to exploitation and abuse. At the Child Protection Centres, these children can find a refuge where they receive meals, clothing, medical care, and emotional support, helping restore their dignity and sense of hope.
Beyond immediate care, the project helps reintegrating children into formal education to open doors to brighter futures. Whenever possible, Muslim Charity aims to reunite these children with their families, offering ongoing support to help rebuild their lives. Over the years, this initiative has transformed thousands of young lives, breaking the cycle of poverty and giving children the opportunity to thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.
Disclaimer: At least 75% of the fundraising target need to be raised before the event date. If this is not the case the Charity reserves the right to exclude participants from the event.
Absolutely! The Tour de Pakistan is designed for cyclists of all levels. This year’s route from Lahore to Multan is on flat roads, making it much more manageable than mountainous terrain. While a bit of endurance is helpful, you don’t need to be an elite rider. We’ll provide a training plan to help you prepare, and our focus is on enjoying the ride, soaking in the stunning scenery, and supporting a life-changing cause together.
Yes, of course! If you’d like to explore more of Pakistan before or after the ride, you’re welcome to make your own arrangements for accommodation, transport, and other logistics. This gives you the flexibility to discover even more of this beautiful country while being part of the Tour.
You’ll need to arrange your visa yourself and cover any related costs, which vary depending on nationality. For example, British citizens can apply online for a Pakistani tourist visa here: https://visa.nadra.gov.pk/tourist-visa/. We also recommend checking with the Pakistan High Commission for the latest guidance: https://www.phclondon.org/.
Yes, all participants must have personal insurance. Your policy should cover cycling challenges and any potential risks. This not only keeps you protected but also gives you complete peace of mind while enjoying the adventure.
You may need certain vaccinations before travelling. We recommend consulting your GP well in advance, as some courses can take several weeks. Common vaccinations include typhoid, polio, hepatitis A and B, and tetanus—helping ensure you stay safe and healthy throughout your journey.
Yes! The route is on flat roads, so most types of road bikes are suitable. To make sure your ride is smooth and enjoyable, check your bike carefully before you set off. If you’d prefer expert help, bring your bike to TEAMMC Cycles (Bike Repair Shop and Café), 9 Hessel St, London E1 2LR, where our experienced mechanic John can service it for you. Key areas to check include brakes, gears, tyres, chain, spokes, bearings, and bolts. A well-serviced bike will make the journey safer and far more enjoyable.
Yes, it’s smart to carry some basic tools so you’re ready for any minor issues. We recommend packing a multi-tool, tyre levers, a pump, two spare inner tubes, spare spokes (check your bike shop for the correct size), brake pads, a few spare chain links, and any extras for unique or high-tech components such as hydraulic brakes. Being prepared will keep your ride stress-free.
Comfort is key! Here’s a suggested kit list: cycling shoes, padded shorts, lightweight clothing, thermal layers, T-shirts, fleece jacket, waterproof jacket, gloves, hat or cap, sunglasses, headlamp with spare batteries, plus basic toiletries and first aid items. Pack for both comfort and changing weather conditions—and feel free to reach out if you’d like guidance.
Your bike will count as part of your luggage allowance, so it’s best to travel light. Most economy flights allow around 20kg per person, though some airlines may permit up to 26kg for groups—check your airline’s rules to be sure. A bike in a cardboard box usually weighs 15–18kg, so inform your airline in advance and request any additional allowance if possible. Careful planning will make your travel smoother and stress-free.
We’ll be staying in hotels and guesthouses chosen for comfort and convenience. While they’re not luxury properties, they’ll give you a good night’s rest after each stage. Rooms are based on twin sharing.
Delicious! Pakistani cuisine is similar to North Indian food but generally less spicy, with tasty Central Asian and Middle Eastern influences. Expect hearty, flavourful meals to keep your energy levels up throughout the journey.
That depends on your personal spending, but around £200 should be enough for souvenirs, gifts, or extra snacks and treats along the way. Most of your essentials are already covered as part of the Tour.
